Group HR & Payroll Advisor

RELOcruitment are delighted to be working alongside an award-winning Removals & Storage Firm. They provide professional removals and storage solutions all over the globe.

They now have an immediate opening for an HR & Payroll advisor to join their busy HR team in NW London.

The main purpose of the role is to provide timely and effective HR & Payroll advisory / administration service for the group of companies.

This is a full-time office based position, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm.

The role is currently based in Wembley but will relocate to Hertfordshire in November therefore a commute to Wembley is required until then.

The ideal candidate must be proficient with figures, Excel sheets, and IT. Although payroll is outsourced, you will be required to gather and send all relevant information, such as figures, sick pay, pension details, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive advice and guidance to Managers in employee relation matters on a variety of issues to include disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, performance management, absence management and other HR processes.
  • Answering all HR & payroll queries posed by Management & employees.
  • Administration of all HR activities to support the above.
  • Solid understanding of employment law.
  • Monitoring recruitment metrics such as retention rates and staff turnover.
  • Generate HR & payroll reports for Management.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination and processing of the monthly UK payroll & pension information, working with external payroll provider to ensure payroll is processed accurately each month.
  • Support HR processes as directed by the HR Director.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experienced in managing payroll calculations and reconciliations
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and writing skills
  • Problem solving skills to deal with disputes, grievances and staffing problems
  • Able to stay calm in a difficult situation
  • Respect the importance of confidentiality
  • Patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable
  • Able to work as part of a team and manage a busy and varied workload
  • Hands on attitude
  • Solid IT skills; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
