We are currently working in partnership with a local council based in Glamorgan, who are recruiting for a HR Business Partner on a 12 Month contract.
The ideal candidate will experience and knowledge of employment law and a background working with schools.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £35,336 - £39,571 (subject to experience).
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Contributing to the development/delivery of a high quality HR business partner support function throughout the organisation with a focus on promoting best HR and OD practices
- Providing advice and support to managers on a range of casework issues including that relating to discipline, grievance, performance management, grading and redundancies
- Promoting and maintain effective employee relations including taking a support role in consultations/negotiations with trade unions and the workforce
- Contributing to the regular review of HR policies and practices to ensure they reflect both up-to-date employment law and best practice
Experience required:
- Experience of working in a public service environment

- Excellent people management skills
- High level analytical, organisational and problem solving skills
- Project management and research skills
