Senior Management Accountant | FTSE listed Consumer business | £60,000-£65,000 + bonus | Maidenhead (3 days per week in the office) | Permanent role

This is an opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join a Luxury Consumer brand based in Maidenhead on a permanent basis. You will be working for this global, market-leading brand which is a member of the FTSE 100.

This Senior Management Accountant role will report to a Divisional Financial Controller and will be responsible for looking after one of the cost-based entities in the group and will manage one Assistant Management Accountant. This is a broad role incorporating the monthly management accounts, internal reporting, business planning as well as extensive partnering/interaction with non-finance stakeholders across the business.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and overseeing the month-end prepared by the Assistant Management Accountant
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing financial statements under IFRS and ensuring VAT compliance
  • Owning the business planning for the entity including supporting stakeholders with the preparation of the long-term business plan
  • Management of the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Preparing internal performance reporting and surrounding analysis
  • Project work including improving existing processes and financial controls
  • Management and development of an Assistant Management Accountant

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be a ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant, either straight from practice or with experience in industry. You must have strong financial controls experience and knowledge of IFRS. Experience of the Consumer sector is preferred but not essential. Communication skills are the key to this role, you must be confident, credible and excellent at being able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
