Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to find their next role, and work in a Primary School setting in a great school near Bury. This role is full time.
A successful applicant will have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent and will have several years' experience working with children in a school setting. You will be expected to cover class in the absence of a teacher, small group, and large group interventions in a KS2 setting. Safeguarding training is preferred but not required as some training is provided.
The strongest applicant will have confidence in leading a group of children in absence of their teacher, reading, and writing sessions and will have good behavioural management skills.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
- Hours: 8am-4pm (Monday to Friday)
- Start Date: Jan 2025
- End date (if applicable): 2 terms
- Contract Type: Ongoing
- Full time/part time: Full time
- Minimum rate of pay: £130
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a UK school.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child related references.
