Day-to-day of the role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: * Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential. * Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs). * Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupils to engage in learning. * Assist with the development of social skills and independence among pupils. * Use creative approaches to help children understand and engage with the curriculum. * Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with transferable skills.
  • A strong desire to contribute positively to the lives of children with special needs.
  • Confidence in handling the challenges that come with working in an SEN setting.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
