Position Overview: As a Large Format Artworker, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all artwork meets the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for reviewing and amending design files, producing print proofs, and creating templates for bespoke print items. This position requires a strong understanding of print processes and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of all printed materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- File Review and Amendments: Thoroughly review design files to ensure they are print-ready and meet client specifications. Address any discrepancies or formatting issues.
- Print Proof Production: Create and deliver accurate print proofs to clients for approval. Make adjustments as needed based on feedback.
- Template Creation: Design templates for bespoke print items, ensuring they are optimised for production and meet client requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the print production team to integrate artwork into the printing process. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to resolve any artwork-related issues.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on artwork files, focusing on colour matching, layout, and adherence to print specifications.
- Technical Expertise: Utilise Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to prepare, amend, and optimise files for large format printing.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Previous experience in a print production environment with a deep understanding of print processes, file preparation, and proofing.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in artwork.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving abilities, especially in troubleshooting file issues and adapting designs to fit different print formats.
- Knowledge of different printing techniques and their requirements for various print mediums.
