Café Assistant
Location: Moredon Sports Hub
Shift: 16 hours a week @ 16 hrs per week 9am – 3pm, Mon - Sun
Pay:
- 16–17 year old £6.80
- 18–20 year-old £8.90
- Over 21 £11.80
Reports To: Cafe Manager
This role is perfect for students, part-time hours and flexible days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and take orders efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages according to the menu.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately (training given)
- Assist cook in opening and closing the cafe.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle any customer inquiries or complaints professionally.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Positive attitude and a team player.
