Project Procurement Manager

A highly reputable and well known Renewable Energy company are actively looking for a Project Procurement Manager to join their organisation on an initial interim basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and optimise supply chain strategies for innovative projects in the development, construction and/ or operational phases.
  • Develop and execute sourcing, assessment, negotiation and contract execution strategies.
  • Develop, negotiate and apply appropriate contract terms and conditions to suit project activities (e.g. NEC4, FIDIC).
  • Ensure that commercial project issues are addressed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain strong working / strategic relationships with project team and relevant business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation and operation of project procurement initiatives / continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • MCIPS (or working towards), alternatively a relevant business or engineering degree is desirable.
  • Expected to have significant experience in construction/infrastructure or complex procurement projects.
  • Proven capability / skills in complex CAPEX & OPEX negotiations.
  • Candidates should be capable of operating to tight timescales with the minimum of guidance and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to influence and manage across multiple international cultures and a geographically diverse portfolio.
  • Ability to influence and manage across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Fully committed, flexible and ready to travel to meet the business requirements.
  • Very good communication skills in English required
