Your new company
A leading real estate firm based in the heart of the West End is in need of a UK specialist Payroll Assistant to join the business on a 6-month contract due to a system implementation occupying parts of the team.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the monthly payroll of 400 across the UK. You will be working alongside the Deputy Payroll Manager to take action and check the monthly starter and leaver processes. Full preparation of all SSP, SMP and SPP. Assist in monitoring our busy Payroll Support email inbox, responding to emails from internal and external stakeholders and allocating the tasks received to our designated folders. You will be the face of the payroll department dealing with payroll queries from a variety of stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have expert knowledge within the UK payroll in order to hit the ground running. You will need full knowledge of Statutory Deductions; Tax, National Insurance, including all student loan schemes, and to perform gross to net calculations. Knowledge of PAYE forms e.g. P11D, P60 and P45. You will be personable, have the ability to manage difficult conversations regarding pay, and have the ability to explain payslips and deductions.
