Assistant Management Accountant - Hybrid

A dynamic, global business based in Newbury are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The role will provide excellent exposure to all elements of management accounting and will likely suit an individual looking to progress their accounting career.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Assisting with month end accounts - prepayments, accruals, journals.
  • Dealing with expenses and credit card analysis.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Fixed asset maintenance.
  • Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Assisting with budgets and forecasting.
  • Providing variance analysis and commentary.
  • Assisting with year end audit.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Preferably studying or looking to study an accounting qualification such as AAT, CIMA or ACCA.
  • Enthusiastic attitude and keen to develop accounting knowledge.
  • Good understanding of credits and debits.
  • Prior experience working in a busy finance role.
  • Deadline driven and able to manage own workload.
  • Excellent team player.
