We're seeking a friendly, confident, and self-motivated individual to join our team. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone looking to make the move into HR.

Responsibilities:

  1. UK Cadet Recruitment and Training:
  • Coordinate with local manning agencies and training ships regarding UK cadets.

  • Liaise with external parties related to Core Training Commitment and training ships under the Tonnage Tax Scheme.

  • Manage local manning agencies' accounts and payments.

  • Gather feedback and suggestions from UK cadets.

  • Conduct periodic assessments of local manning agencies to ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Stay informed about updated regulations and legislation relevant to the seaman section.

  1. Employee Recruitment and Orientation:
  • Prepare recruitment literature and job advertisements.

  • Organize interviews for prospective employees.

  • Conduct basic induction sessions for new hires.

  • Handle various documents, including reference letters and recommendations.

  • Review monthly attendance records.

  • Maintain personnel files.

  1. HR Duties:
  • Create, update, and maintain staff personal data.

  • Address employee queries related to HR matters.

  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by department or section heads.

  • Assist management and department heads when needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and numerical skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective time-management skills.
  • Punctuality.
  • General knowledge of HR/employment law (previous HR experience is advantageous).
  • Legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
