General Business Manager

The General Manager will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and operational efficiency. This individual will manage the day-to-day operations, develop strategic plans for further expansion, and ensure seamless customer support. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire business infrastructure, including sales, customer service, procurement, and financial management, with the ultimate goal of enhancing profitability and market share. The role requires a hands-on, UK based dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the semiconductor or high-technology equipment industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability
  • Oversee daily operations, including sales, customer service, and procurement
  • Manage financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and identify new business opportunities

To be considered for the position you will need the following:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or Life Sciences. MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience managing and growing a high-technology capital equipment sales business, particularly within the semiconductor or scientific process equipment industries.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrable experience leading diverse teams and managing complex business operations in a high-growth environment.
