Account Manager - Hazardous Waste Management

Territory: East Midlands

Salary: £42,500 plus car or allowance and bonus (c £12K pa)

Working as an Account Manager for an established and ambitious waste management organisation to sell hazardous waste services and solutions to customers in the East Midlands. You'll be working within a high performing team of Account Managers to delivery of new business & grow revenues within existing accounts. The role of an Account Manager is a highly technical role, and applicants must have a good hands-on experience in Hazardous Waste and a good understanding of the chemistries involved. As an Account Manager, you'll be providing technical and commercial knowledge to deliver excellent customer focus in line with the strategic direction of the business. This is a field based role and you'll likely to out visiting customers 3-4 days per week with a day working from home.

The main duties will include (but aren't limited to):

  • Visiting new customers to promote products/service and consult to individual projects to total waste solutions
  • Regular meetings with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and explore x-selling and up-selling opportunities to grow revenues
  • Build strong relationships with internal colleagues across all technical and support service functions
  • Research, identify and develop new potential customers & market opportunities.
  • Work with internal colleagues and external partners to produce competitive and winning bids/tenders

Your skills and experience

  • Must have hazardous Waste Management experience with a sound knowledge of the chemistry behind waste treatment options (ideally chemistry related degree or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Experience is sales (ideally selling hazardous waste treatment solutions/services)
  • Strong customer negotiating skills, able to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Full UK driving license and able to be out with customers 3-4 days per week
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent communicator
