We are on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee and enhance the operations of our busy warehouse centre. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supervising a diverse team, ensuring productivity, workflow efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the picking and processing of materials.
- Lead and motivate the team to meet productivity targets and maintain teamwork.
- Manage drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies, health and safety guidelines, and security processes.
- Conduct regular stock control checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Optimize resource and space utilization, as well as the use of mechanical handling equipment.
- Uphold high standards of quality control, health, safety, and security in the workplace.
- Handle key holder responsibilities, including securing the facility.
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
- Adapt to the varying demands of the business, including working long hours and overtime when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in operating counterbalance and reach forklift trucks.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with strong initiative and decisiveness.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Resilience under pressure and effectiveness in meeting tight deadlines.
- A clean, full driving license is desirable.
