We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with our friendly, professional and established client as they seek to recruit a Finance and Accounts Manager to join their management team within their offices close to Burgess Hill. This is a great opportunity to join a busy and well known reputable business.

Finance and Accounts Manager

Full time permanent role - My client would consider a hybrid role. 3 office and 2 days working from home

Mon-Fri office working hours

Role based close to Burgess Hill. Due to rural location of the offices, you will need to be a driver and have your own transport. There is free parking on site for all staff.

Salary £45000 - £48000 per annum, depending on experience plus good all round company benefits. 22 days holiday plus all UK bank holidays.

Finance and Accounts Manager

The role of the Finance & Accounts Manager is day to day management of the Accounts Department including the key financial systems on which the Company operates.

Duties will include:

Oversee the entirety of the company's accounts department

Prepare and present monthly management accounts with analysis and recommendations

Creation of detailed income and expenditure budgets together with cash flow forecasting

Prepare performance reports for internal and external stakeholders

Assist with preparation of monthly payroll information, including PAYE and NI and oversee company pension scheme

Monitor and control of debtors

Driving cost control and cost saving activities

Production of Year End information for external Accountants

Quarterly VAT returns

Effective management and development of finance staff

Identify and implement improvements within the finance function

Be part of the Management Team to help improve and develop the business

Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or extensive similar role experience

Experience at Finance Manager level

IT skills including a good level of Excel

Experience of managing staff

Excellent communication skills, high level of professionalism, and the ability to effectively present at Director level

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
