We seek an experienced Revenues Officer to work in our client's Tax recovery team on a contract basis. The main purpose of the role will be to recover unpaid Council Tax through methods available including Enforcement agents, attachments, charging orders, and insolvency. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Council Tax recovery having previously dealt with liability disputes and issues relating to recovery action.
What we require from our candidates:
- Proficient in the use of NEC and I@W processing systems
- A minimum of 3 years of experience within a revenue team (preferably recovery)
- Experience in negotiating payment plans on Council Tax debt.
- Ability to identify and signpost/support vulnerable and struggling customers
- Ability to liaise with internal and external bodies
- Ability to investigate and respond in writing to Cllr/Members and Complaints within set deadlines
- Ability to process any incoming contacts via phone, email, or correspondence and reports within the targets and deadlines set
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload, to ensure any follow-up work is taken where appropriate
Candidates will be required to attend our client's offices once a month for the duration of their placement.
