**Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Credit Controller to join their dynamic team based in Birmingham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of real estate management credit control, ensuring the timely collection of rents and service charges.

What you'll do:

As a Credit Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing real estate credit control. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the timely collection of rents and service charges. You will work closely with tenants, maintaining ledgers, managing accounts, and providing crucial advice on debt status. Your collaborative approach will see you liaising with various internal teams and external enforcement officers. Your commitment to continuous improvement will drive enhancements in our processes and procedures.

  • Responsible for Real Estate Management credit control
  • Ensure accurate and timely cash allocation in collaboration with the cashiering team
  • Maintain tenant ledgers, including reconciliations and contact information
  • Manage tenant accounts effectively when chasing debt
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on the status of the debt and suggested next steps
  • Liaise with enforcement officers and solicitors in debt escalation matters
  • Manage unallocated cash and assist in clearing income items from bank reconciliations
  • Participate in conference calls and meetings to report progress on debts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in processes and procedures

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Credit Controller position brings strong organisational skills, an ability to work independently, and a proven track record of achieving KPIs. Your experience in property management and high-volume collections environments will be invaluable. Your proficiency in Excel reporting, coupled with your excellent communication skills, will enable you to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
