Overview

We are a well-established fuel and lubricants company who are growing from strength to strength, built on over 100 years expertise in the fuel and lubricants industry. As a result of new business and further expansion, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our growing team and take ownership of our digital and e-commerce marketing efforts. This is a critical role and requires strategic leadership and hands-on execution, perfect for someone who thrives on data, creativity, and driving measurable growth.

You will play a key role in strategizing, implementing, and optimising campaigns across digital platforms, while also contributing to the broader marketing strategy of the business.

As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns that attract, convert, and retain customers. You will lead initiatives that directly impact revenue performance, brand visibility, and customer engagement. With a strong focus on e-commerce, this role requires someone who understands the full marketing funnel and can create campaigns that support both acquisition and retention.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, sales, IT and customer experience - to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with our broader business objectives. Your proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO, and a working understanding of HubSpot will be essential in analysing performance, optimising spend, and identifying growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce & Digital Performance

  • Lead the planning and execution of digital marketing strategies to drive e-commerce performance and online sales.
  • Oversee website traffic analysis, conversion tracking, and customer journey optimisation using Google Analytics.
  • Manage Google Ads campaigns and paid media strategy to maximise ROI.
  • Optimise website and product content for SEO, including keyword strategy, meta-data, and link building initiatives.
  • Track KPIs and deliver monthly performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.

Marketing Campaigns & Brand Communication

  • Conceptualise and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, and content channels.
  • Work closely with our Brand manager to develop campaign assets that reflect brand identity and achieve commercial goals.
  • Coordinate and manage promotional calendars, product launches, and seasonal marketing activities.
  • Support CRM initiatives including email automation, A/B testing, and lead nurturing (HubSpot desirable).

Social Media

  • Oversee daily management of social media channels, including scheduling posts, reposting relevant content, and maintaining consistent brand voice across platforms.
  • Track and analyse social media metrics to inform content strategy, improve engagement, and support overall marketing goals.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with sales, product, and customer service teams to align marketing efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Manage agency partners, freelancers, or vendors supporting paid media, SEO, or creative production.
  • Communicate marketing results and learnings with leadership on a regular basis.

Person Specification

Essential

  • 5 years+ of experience in a marketing or e-commerce role with increasing responsibility.
  • Proven track record in e-commerce growth, digital performance marketing, and campaign management.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, and SEO best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into marketing strategy.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with social advertising (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) and retargeting strategies.

Desirable

  • Experience in a similar sector using HubSpot for CRM, marketing automation, and lead management.
  • Background in B2B or B2C/DTC marketing is highly valued.
