My client provides catering and hospitality services to some of London's leading venues and is currently looking to recruit a proven General Manager for their flagship operation leading a team of 15 + across this £1.5 million account.

This prestigious events venue is situated in the heart of London, and renowned for hosting high-profile events that demand excellence and sophistication. The venue is steeped in tradition and caters to a discerning clientele who expect nothing but the best in service and experience.

The role is diverse and will include all aspects of venue management and as General Manager, you will be at the helm of the day-to-day operations, ensuring every event surpasses expectations, responsible for maintaining excellent internal client relations, upholding the highest standards of service, and driving the overall success of the venue and possess the ability to drive the business forward through innovative approach and initiatives.

The ideal General Manager will have a strong background in managing high-profile traditional venues such as Livery Halls, private members' clubs, or similar high-end establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring all events are executed flawlessly.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with internal clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Develop & implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction & operational efficiency.
  • Manage budgets, financial performance effectively.
  • Identify & pursue new business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Uphold the traditional values and prestigious reputation of the venue.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing traditional high-profile venues, such as Livery Halls, private members' clubs, or similar.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
