Assistant Accountant Needed Immediately
Our client, located just outside of Maidstone, is in urgent need of an Assistant Accountant to provide essential support during a particularly busy period for an ongoing temporary assignment.
**Assistant Accountant Role Responsibilities:
- Efficiently match, batch, and code purchase ledger invoices.
- Accurately match, batch, and code sales ledger invoices.
- Proactively chase outstanding debts to improve cash flow.
- Work towards reducing debtor days through effective credit control.
- Handle daily banking tasks with precision.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Manage journals, prepayments, and prepare VAT returns diligently.
- Compile payroll data in preparation for processing.
- Conduct cash book reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
