Legal Secretary - 12-month FTC
We are working with a British law firm who specialise in commercial, data privacy, dispute resolution, corporate, employment, immigration, IP and real estate, with offices across the UK they are continuously growing, and they are now looking for a Legal Secretary to join their office in Cardiff.
The Secretary will be responsible for offering top-tier support to assigned Partners and Associates in the Employment, Immigration, and Data Privacy and Cyber practice groups.
This role will collaborate closely with other secretaries, the central Billing team, and the Co-Chief Practice Transformation Officer to identify and implement agreed-upon improvements in billing and credit control processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for clients, dealing with them efficiently - liaising with them to deal with any queries or issues if able to.
- Ensure sensitivity and confidentiality when dealing with clients, colleagues and private matters on behalf of allocated Partners and Associates.
- Build a strong knowledge of the firm's Strategy and an understanding of how the work of allocated Partners and Associates fits with this Strategy.
- Coordinate billing/credit control and accounting matters relating to clients of allocated Partners and Associates
- Maintain allocated Partners and Associates diaries by liaising with them on a regular basis
- Liaising with foreign lawyers and counsel chambers in relation to their invoices
- Assist (when required) with marketing activities as required including liaising with the Marketing team
This role will have heavy focus on billing (this will be end to end and will include WIP) so the team would be open to considering someone with a Finance background, with some administrative / Secretarial experience.
