Business Services Group based in Petersfield, Hampshire, has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to undertake a newly created position which has arisen due to a period of growth. With the business experiencing a period of change and transition, the role would suit an individual who thrives working in an evolving environment and open and flexible to change.

What will the Finance Manager role involve?

Reporting to the Finance Director, the key responsibilities of the Finance Manager position role will include:

  • Ensure financial accounts comply with relevant statutory and accounting standards;
  • Prepare and review with Financial Controller monthly company P&L and Balance sheet and annual statutory accounts;
  • Ensure company conforms to group requirements for internal control processes;
  • Review month end accruals and prepayments reports with Financial Controller in a timely manner;
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC in a timely manner;
  • Post monthly salaries related journals;
  • Assist the Finance Director in preparing corporation tax requires for Group;
  • Manage and mentor a finance team of 3.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:

  • Applicants will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of undertaking a similar technically focussed role;
  • The client is also open to considering candidates looking to make their first move put of Public Practice.

  • The role will be offered on a hybrid working basis with the successful candidate expected to be in the office 3 days a week.
