Family Safeguarding Social Worker

  • Salary Range: £33,024 - £41,418 (depending on experience)
  • Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
  • Job Type: Full-time (37 hours)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Workers to join our innovative Family Safeguarding Team in Bury. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering approach to social work, where you will make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people using strength-based models and motivational interviewing.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work within a multi-agency team to address family issues efficiently, reducing the need for referrals to other agencies.
  • Support children and their families through various plans and proceedings, including Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, PLO pre-proceedings, and Care Proceedings.
  • Build trusting relationships with children and families to support positive engagement and better outcomes.
  • Participate in unique, reflective supervision sessions with all Family Safeguarding practitioners.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in social work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Access to a car for visiting and supporting children and families.
  • Committed to relationship-based social work.
  • ASYE applicants are welcome, with a supportive learning and development programme available.
  • Strong focus on child-centred practice and a compassionate approach.
