We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Professional to join our finance team in Thurrock. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in accounting practices, including reconciliations and purchase ledger management. Experience with Sage and an AAT qualification is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Manage the purchase ledger function and maintain financial records.
  • Utilise Sage accounting software to input and manage financial data.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth end-of-month and end-of-year processes.
  • Assist with other accounting projects and tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounting with a focus on reconciliations and purchase ledger.
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent accounting certification.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
