Temporary Events Co-ordinator Part Time

Looking for an events professional with broad experience across Exhibitions, conferences, award ceremonies and product launches (physical and virtual events). Varied experience across local government, education and charity.

Description

  1. Plan, coordinate, and execute events.
  2. Oversee event setup, breakdown, and onsite coordination to ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly and according to plan.
  3. Manage event-related documentation and communication, including contracts, permits, schedules, and agendas, and provide regular updates to line as needed.
  4. Anticipate and mitigate potential risks and challenges, and proactively resolve issues as they arise during the planning and execution phases.
  5. Be on site at events to make sure they are run as smooth as possible.

Profile

  1. Proven experience (2+ years) in event planning, coordination, or management, preferably in a corporate or agency environment.
  2. Strong, proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer service-oriented approach and the capacity to build positive relationships team members.
  4. Proficiency in event management software (ideally CVent) , Microsoft Office EXCEL.
  5. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, memorable events.
  6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed, especially during the events.
  7. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  8. A passion for event planning and a dedication to staying current with best practices.
