We are seeking a live-in houseman with butler experience to assist manage a large household in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Handling household expenses, bills, and maintenance records.
- Ensuring all household systems are in working order and under control.
- Maintaining the house in a ready and organised state for the arrival of family members.
- Managing food shopping and preparing light meals such as tea, breakfast, and sandwiches.
- Handling very high end items such as artwork and china - keeping inventory up to date.
- Assisting with deliveries and arranging fresh flowers in the home.
- Hands on with helping set up for dinners and parties when the family entertains
- Flexible to drive the principal and family when required.
- Being flexible with days off, particularly when the family is present.
- Working 6 days a week, variable hours
- Demonstrating trustworthiness, reliability, and responsibility.
- Adapting to changing circumstances and tasks.
- Being diligent, non-smokers, and prioritising hygiene standards.
- Assist the housekeeping team as and when required.
- Fluent in English a must, if you speak a second language that would be advantageous.
This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage household operations efficiently.
Starting: Mid September 2024
Hours: 6 days a week. Hours will vary depending on the clients needs. e.g. one day could be 4-5 hours and another 8-9. Flexibility is key.
Accommodation: Single bedroom with separate living area, bathroom and kitchenette.
Salary: £48,000 gross per annum (approx £700 net per week) + meals provided when working, and all utilities covered.
