Our greatest asset is our people, so our HR team focus on ensuring we are all reaching our potential. They use their specialist expertise to help us attract great talent, enable our employees to succeed and inspire a unified culture of development across our firm. By playing a role in the recruitment and management of our people, they help change lives and influence the future of BDO. We'll help you succeed

Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships.

As a digitally-minded Employer Brand Adviser you'll join our award-winning UK team. Through bold IDEAS, some of the best PEOPLE around and the TRUST in our work, we shape and launch recruitment marketing campaigns across the nation, attracting both quality and diverse talent to BDO UK LLP..

The Talent Attraction Team sits in the Talent Acquisition function, but partners closely around the business, particularly Communications, Marketing and Digital teams. We engage with our Talent Acquisition and HR colleagues to shape, drive and implement BDO's employer brand across multiple touchpoints.

This brand-new position will have oversight and input into the firm's recruitment marketing strategy, campaign design and content creation. You'll be helping attract the next generation of Early Careers talent alongside Experienced Hires as well. Ultimately, you'll be building effective communications and marketing to our target audiences and having a positive influence on the candidate experience.

As a passionate marketeer, you'll help take our content strategy to the next level. This role is integral in positioning BDO as the great place to work we think it is to potential employees of our future.

Why you'll love this role

  • Supporting the delivery of our multi-channel media strategy, to multiple audiences. You'll be responsible – with help from the wider team – for contributing to the planning, designing and executing of our employer brand in the content and campaigns we use.
  • Regular review and scheduling of content on our BDO social channels. You can engage with our key audiences at various stages in their journey, all while providing them with authentic moments that matter.
  • Creating stories which last, by getting out into the business and finding great people with content that resonates. You'll find a work force who have plenty to say, and amplifying that to our audience is what matters.
  • Helping develop and deliver on briefings to any agencies or partners we work with, in order to deliver on the social media campaigns, web copy, digital assets and more.
  • Revel in a job well done by monitoring the effectiveness of any campaigns you have launched. That could be the latest Advisory content campaign on Instagram, or maybe it's the new LinkedIn advocacy programme. Whatever it is, you'll love showing a good job done well.
  • Living and breathing the brand, whether that's a video shoot in Scotland one day or a careers fair in Southampton the next. Seeing the content you've pulled together come to life is what makes your day fun.
  • Having an editorial lens on everything you do, because with the copy you finesse and deliver in drip campaigns, email nurturing or web copy – particularly to our Early Careers talent – will be crucial to success.
  • With the help of our recruitment marketing agency, you'll be scouring the latest social media trends, events, webinars and community meet ups so you can always be that step ahead of the game. Data is great, but insight is better.
  • Being fluent in all things digital and web will be great experience, as you'll understand the implications of creating and changing content online, adhering to best practice in SEO and understand the technical capability of our tech stack which feeds into it.
  • Through great relationships across the firm, you'll use those people to build advocacy amongst internal groups and create content which speaks volumes of the careers they've chosen. That could be our employee resource groups, our trainee population or other teams across the country. It's your opportunity to showcase your expertise of everything around employer brand.
  • As a Social Media champion, you'll get people comfortable talking about BDO and ensuring that we're constantly and consistently communicating with the right talent at the right time, leading to an incredible candidate experience.

What makes you great at this role

  • Paid media campaigns – you're going to be the one responsible for execution and reporting on our paid media campaigns, so you've got to know all the ins and outs, all the considerations and what makes a good campaign fly. You'll be handy with things like the Office Suite and other products to effectively showcase your thinking.
  • Content creation competence – whether you're handy with a smartphone, can put together dynamic ad banners, or write masterpieces of copy, you'll be creating content for our multi-channel strategies which entice quality, diverse candidates to the firm. As you've worked with a CMS, Photoshop, Canva or similar in the past, this should be no problem.
  • Brilliant brief-taking – with all the stakeholders you'll be partnering with, you're going to need to decipher their needs and understand how that fits into the wider attraction strategy. You'll be able to portray that to our agencies or internal teams in order to get the best quality output possible, so the curiosity to ask the right questions will be paramount to our shared success.
  • Stakeholder management – keeping your stakeholders informed and engaged will be natural to you as you're a confident speaker, communicator or business partner.
  • Project management proficiency – prioritising your own workload will be essential here, so you'll need to manage your time effectively.
