An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Architect to join a large IT services business based in the UK. This is a hybrid working role based in Birmingham.
Client Details
Our client is looking for a skilled and passionate Technical Architect. As the Technical Architect on this Transformation Programme, you will be working on an implementation of Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite and Boomi for a large software business. The role will report to the Lead Solution Architect.
Description
- Design of the E2E technical architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the system's structure, components, and interfaces.
- Evaluation of technology options and make recommendations on which tools, frameworks, and platforms are best suited for the program's needs.
- Ownership and documentation of the physical and cloud architecture that underpins the applications.
- Ownership of all technical tooling within the programme (CI/CD etc) and definition of standards for it's usage.
- Responsible for technical operations and support processes within the programme and the transition of these processes into BAU.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and coordinate with the product/process leads to review progress at the end of each iteration where necessary.
- Responsible not only to advise but also to take decisions and drive programme direction on technical matters.
- Responsible for all environments across all applications and environment tiers in programme scope. Responsible also for their usage, refresh, code versions and availability.
- Monitoring and optimisation of applications across the architecture as required by the programme in the context of delivery.
- Work in support of the Test team and 3rd party providers in order to provide input to non-functional testing and to validate and analyse test results.
- Define non-functional requirements to application delivery teams and measure adherence to those NFRs (e.g. via review of tests etc)
Provide support and expertise to Lead Solution Architect as required
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in enterprise level technical architecture.
- Deep, demonstrable system architecture experience in at least one of Salesforce (CRM/CPQ), NetSuite or ServiceNow and with extensive knowledge and experience of each of the domains (e.g. with alternative software products)
- Experience of working in large scale IT and business transformation programmes.
- Experience of working with SI partners and driving and supporting their solutions.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation), including the ability to listen effectively.
- Strong presentation skills; able to optimally present a point of view and clearly articulate the rationale to a variety of customers.
- Ability to produce high quality written documentation for all end deliverables.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently, work to tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and work with related internal business functions.
- Ability to problem solve and to drive problem solving within the team.
