Think Accountancy and Finance are working with a business based on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing team.
The company offers hybrid working with 3 days in an office, and 2 days from home each week.
They are looking for someone who is Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA or someone who has done their AAT and now looking to start their professional qualifications. Any experience in an Accountancy practice position role would be highly desirable. The key focus is for someone who is eager to learn in a broad position. The position will focus on the preparation of monthly management accounts including all journal postings.

Role responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts including all journal postings;
- Cash flow forecasts
- Debtor management
- Prepare periodic financial reporting and variance to budget analysis
- VAT returns
- Help prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;
- Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit in IFRS, FRS 102 or UK GAAP, including consolidated sets of accounts;
- Support audit
- Project work
- Support continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes
- Business Partnering
- Be a point of contact for the external clients
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or someone who has completed AAT
- Looking to move to industry from practice
- Excel experience including SUMIF
- ERP experience
- Some financial experience under IFRS, FRS 101 and 102
- P&L reporting
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Month end reporting
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive with a focus on continuous improvement
