Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Special school in the Bristol area. They are looking for a teacher that is able to provide regular cover teaching support at the school where they will lead pre-planned lessons across different age groups and needs.

This wonderful school looks after a wide range of special needs & disabilities which includes SLD, MLD, PMLD, ASD, Complex Needs & SEMH. Due to the schools size they often require cover in their classes and have decided to take on someone who can regularly provide them with support.

The Role

This role can either be full-time or part-time, ideally this would be someone available full-time but they are open to applications from strong part-time teachers. There is no planning & marking involved with this role, you will be leading pre-planned lessons.

It's very important that you have experience working in a special school, ideally you would also hold a QTS but proficient experience teaching in a school will be considered.

  • Be adaptable and flexible - this is essential
  • Have experience of working with special needs & disabilities.
  • Have confidence in leading groups of SEND students.
