They are a family run business that has been operating with the financial services industry for almost 50 years. they specialise in secured finance, with a wealth of experience and knowledge throughout the company. The managerial staff have an average of 26 years' service, which means you are in trustworthy hands.
Given the exciting expansion plans of the Loans Department, they are looking to add three Loan Advisors to join our committed and hard-working team.
Job Title: Loans Advisor
Location: Rotherham
Reports To: Senior Team Leader
Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 + (OTE £38,000)
Job Type: Permanent - subject to 6 months probationary period
Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week. Core hours between 9.00am - 6.00pm depending on business needs with the requirement of working until 7pm one day a week
About the role
- Deliver the highest standards of professional advice and conduct full and thorough fact finds over the telephone to identify client needs. Based on the information provided, recommend bespoke solutions, and offer expert advice to meet customer needs based on their specific circumstances in a compliant manner.
- As the case manager you will package the application through to completion. This includes reviewing supporting documents and verifying accuracy.
- Analysing applicant's credit history and financial information to assess eligibility, identifying loan risk, and requesting additional information as necessary. Keep a look out for signs of suspicious or fraudulent activity.
- Assessing every customer on their individual circumstances and the evidence presented, to ensure good Consumer Outcomes.
- Document a thorough suitability summary which explains the advice you have provided factoring in the customer's needs, objectives, and circumstances.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Achievement of minimum KPI Requirements and Targets
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to Senior Team Leader to achieve monthly targets.
- Building customer relationship by understanding their needs and requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service ensuring a positive experience throughout the loan process.
- Responsible for advice recommended is in line with the business appetite as well as a regulatory guideline for Responsible Lending and Consumer Duty.
- Keep up to date with market knowledge and stay informed about the latest loan products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Keeping up to date with monthly mandatory compliance test
Skills Required
- Develop a "can do" culture to optimise output, performance, and customer outcomes.
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong organisation skills, time management and the ability to prioritise task in a fast-paced environment.
- The confidence to effectively question and challenge lender requirements.
- A drive to succeed and forward thinking.
- CeMap desirable but not essential having 30 months to qualify.
