Position: AutoCAD Technician - Water Infrastructure
Location: Sheffield
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
Salary: £42-45k
Position Overview
We are seeking a Civil AutoCAD Technician with substantial experience in the UK water industry infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, capable of working independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings for various below-ground water infrastructure projects.
- Develop detailed design drawings from basic outline information.
- Ensure adherence to company and client drawing standards.
- Interpret information from drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Take personal responsibility for delivering drawings on time and meeting quality requirements.
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary information and data.
- Manage document control.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD is essential.
- Must have a background in the water industry.
- Knowledge and experience with both wastewater and clean water infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of design delivery, health, safety, and environmental processes.
- Good numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
- Effective communication skills with team members.
