From simple improvements to huge leaps, the impact a Special Needs Assistant can have on a student can truly be life-changing. Horizon Teachers are recruiting for a Special Needs Teacher to work in a SEN Maidenhead on a full-time basis in September 2024.

The school is a new all-age Special Free School for children with autism. The aim of the school is to provide a suitable environment with a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to allow pupils with autism to achieve their full potential and to make the most of their intelligence,

The role

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant desirable
  • Support the class teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
  • Provide one to one support or group assistance
  • Motivating pupils with SEN
  • Assisting with behaviour management
  • Strong communication skills and being able to work in a team
