About Us:

At Solo Support Services, we provide fully regulated care services to individuals who need support to live independently. Our mission is simple: to enhance lives, inspire hope, and build futures. Join us and be a part of something truly special.

Why This Role Matters:

As an HR Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our team thrives and our clients receive the best care possible. Your work will directly contribute to creating a positive, supportive environment for our employees, which, in turn, translates into exceptional service for our clients.

What You'll Do As HR Advisor:

  • Support Our Team: Your support will help keep our operations running smoothly by providing first-line advice on everyday HR queries such as probationary period reviews and overseeing absence management.
  • Lead HR Initiatives: You'll oversee employee engagement surveys, advise managers on HR best practices, and ensure our HR administration is top-notch, from payroll prep to updating our HRIS.
  • Champion Employee Relations: You'll provide essential guidance on disciplinary issues, grievances, and other employee relations, such as change management, ensuring that our workplace remains harmonious and productive.
  • Support Recruitment & Onboarding: Help our managers attract the best talent and ensure they feel welcomed from day one. You'll play a vital role in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding and ensuring our Safer Recruitment practices are embedded.
  • Shape Our Future: Your insights will help influence our company's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and alignment with our core values.

What We're Looking For:

  • Professional Courage & Influence: You have the confidence to provide sound advice and the ability to positively influence decisions at all levels of the organisation.
  • Insights Focused: You're not just detail-oriented—you see the bigger picture and understand how HR strategies drive overall business success.
  • Passionate About People: You believe in valuing every individual and are passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive work environment.
  • Experience: You will have the CIPD Level 3 qualification or above and**, i**deally, experience working in a regulated environment. You will be a solid practitioner in TUPE, service provision changes, and redundancy processes, and you will be adept at change management practices that value people.

Why You'll Love Working Here:

  • A Supportive, Family-Oriented Culture: We treat our team like family. You'll work alongside passionate colleagues who are dedicated to making a difference.
  • HR team: You will be part of a small but effective HR team, reporting to an experienced HR Manager and with HR administration support.
  • Opportunities for Growth: We believe in continuous learning. Whether through formal training or on-the-job experiences, we're committed to helping you grow. The HR manager will coach and develop you, with the autonomy to take on new challenges.
  • Make a Real Impact: Your work here matters. You'll see firsthand how your efforts contribute to improving our client's lives and our company's success.

Working Arrangements:

  • Location: The role is based at our headquarters in NG2 5GR, and it may require occasional travel to locations across the UK.
  • Working Hours: This is a full-time role, typically 40 hours per week (9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday), with a paid lunch break. Some flexibility with start and finish times (e.g., 8:30 am to 4:30 pm) can be considered.
