Simon Acres Recruitment is working with a well-established kitchen retailer who are looking for a Kitchen Sales Designer to join their long-standing and experienced team based across two showrooms in the Surrey area.
Salary: Paying a basic of up to £25,000, plus commission OTE £55,000 (uncapped earnings).
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, with a day off in the week.
Flexible working will be required to accommodate appointments to suit customer requirements and to be successful, working most Saturdays is important in the role, however, you can swap your day off in the week and take a Saturday off with advanced notice.
The Role:
- Designing Kitchens and bedrooms using Compusoft Winner.
- Design consultations both at customers' homes or in showrooms scaling from architects' plans.
- Visiting clients for initial technical site survey, taking accurate and detailed measurements.
- Taking a full brief, including budget indication, through to installation specifications, and keeping detailed notes.
- Producing accurate estimates and visually attractive designs and presenting to customers in a professional manner.
- Administrative attention to detail with accurate Project Packs, ready to be processed by the Operations team.
- Liaising with suppliers as required.
- Accurately pricing projects to achieve the required margin.
- Communicating directly with installers during installations when required.
- Involvement with lead generation and customer service on sold projects.
- Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experienced Kitchen Designer with a proven track record in sales success - you will be targeted to achieve a minimum of £1m in sales ex VAT per anum.
- Experienced in using CAD Software (Winner preferred).
- Must be sales-driven and able to close deals, with a professional and non-aggressive approach.
- Confident and well-presented.
- Technically minded with knowledge of installations to enable accurate quoting.
- Ability to manage a substantial workload and work to tight deadlines.
- High-energy, motivated, driven, and ambitious.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport.
- High levels of attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation.
- Proven track record in kitchen design and able to provide examples of own design work.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
