This role is within our Networks Distribution IT team supporting our Digital Strategy and Vision to be a progressive network owner, using digital to enhance social and economic value, deliver a leading experience for our customers and to enable the energy system to support net zero carbon.

About the Role

Base Location: We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices around the UK.

Salary: £55,573 - £63,643 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As a Senior Product Analyst, you'll support the Product Owner and delivery teams as well as translate the customer needs into high level technical specifications and design and develop recommended systems.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Lead on work alongside the Product Owner to clarify requirements, to plan implementation and to answer queries through the development process.
  • Oversee delivery of product analysis backlog items across the end-to-end product in an agile environment. Delivery work may include representing and modelling data and information, developing training materials and driving the definition of lean business cases.
  • Present complex business and technical concepts to customers at all levels of the organisation.
  • Plan, prioritise, manage, execute and evaluate analysis work on multiple complex projects and/or critical projects.
  • Prepare succinct reports, communications and presentations on complex business processes and progression that are tailored to different situations and audiences.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Experience in a similar senior Product/Business Analysis role focused on supporting business critical/complex systems in a large organisation with a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to shape vision, construct roadmaps and develop investment cases for product development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to take ownership of any requests and issues from all interconnecting and interdependent workstreams and maintain quality of work as well as excellent facilitation skills, ensuring people reach agreement and develop effective work practices.
  • Accurately visualises and clearly articulates proposed solutions to business problems and drive broader business outcomes.
  • Strong experience working in an agile environment and as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to take ownership of problems and requests and maintain quality of work even in a pressurised environment.
