  • Salary: £40,000+ (depending on experience), plus our 10% discretionary bonus.
  • Location & Hybrid Working: London, flexible working pattern with the majority of the team coming to the office 1/2 days per week.

The role

We are looking for a Senior Digital Media Executive to join our central Media team at SMG. In this role, you will work as a digital specialist and be responsible for activating paid media campaigns (Programmatic and Social) across multiple agencies and partnerships within the SMG family. Under the guidance of senior team members, you will have ownership of campaigns, and their activation, optimisation, and troubleshooting. You will also build relationships with key stakeholders across the business, whom you will work closely with when planning campaigns.

Why you?

  • Experience in a growing FMCG, retail, or media environment (preferable).
  • Experience in media buying (Social, and/or Programmatic Display).
  • Preferable platform experience (Meta, and/or trade desk).
  • Experience running lower funnel ROI campaigns is essential (CPA, ROAS, ROI).
  • Familiarity with digital performance metrics.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks across multiple projects and agencies.

What you'll be doing

We pride ourselves on creating challenging and exciting opportunities, meaning that no two days are the same. However, here's an idea of what your responsibilities will look like:

  • End-to-end ownership of 1PD campaigns, including activation, pacing, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Identify areas of improvement within the campaign process and create mid / end campaign reports.
  • Interact with planning, insights, and client teams as necessary on campaign planning and improvement opportunities.
  • Work with the data science teams and insights to deliver the necessary setup approach, ready for uplift measurement.
  • Work with the planning team on 1PD briefs, assisting with decision-making across audiences, platforms, and ad tech.
  • Work with planning, insights, and digital media managers to assist with PCA creation and delivery.
  • Alongside the Digital Media Manager, discover new platforms and partnership opportunities and attend client calls where necessary.
  • Help with platform onboarding and any technical implementations.
  • Offer support to the wider media team as required, helping with related queries and wider team responsibilities.
  • Keep pace with industry trends and proactively support driving forward new opportunities and propositions.

The process

  2. There will be a second interview which will last a little longer, and involve some form of task to showcase your ability to do the role.
