A reputable firm of Chartered Financial Planners, located in South Bristol, is seeking a full-time Junior Paraplanner to join their office-based Adviser Support team. This firm has grown organically, driven solely by their commitment to providing professional financial advice and maintaining client satisfaction.

Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Junior Paraplanner to support the office-based Adviser Support team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and technical support to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the firm's financial advice process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Advisers and technical assistance to other staff members
  • Compile recommendation paperwork, including writing suitability reports
  • Produce tax calculations (e.g., Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax)
  • Prepare client valuations and source fund/investment information
  • Maintain client and research records in compliance with procedures and policies
  • Undertake product research, analysis, and due diligence checks
  • Liaise with clients, providers, and professional connections via phone and written correspondence
  • Submit new business via online systems, chase as necessary, and verify work carried out by providers
  • Ensure documents are prepared ahead of client meetings

Requirements:

  • Experience in an office environment
  • Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and strong written English skills
  • Sound numerical skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong command of IT, including Office365 (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Working knowledge of investments, pensions, and tax
  • Diploma-level qualifications preferred
  • Experience with Intelligent Office or similar back office systems
  • Familiarity with O&M, Selectapension, and provider systems
