Head of Finance - Swindon, Hybrid - to £70,000
We are looking for a qualified Head of Finance to join an impressive Educational client in the Swindon area. This opportunity is ideal for a capable Finance Manager or Financial Controller looking to lead a sizeable team with responsibility for the introduction and oversight of financial systems and processes. The role is offered on a hybrid basis with 2 days working from home.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial reports and accounts
- Prepare budgets and projections
- Lead and train a reporting Finance team of 11
- Management of KPI metrics and analysis
- Liaise with auditors and facilitate all audit arrangements
- Liaise with key decision makers to ensure financial action plans are on track for implementation
- Monitor financial operations within the company, including invoicing and other transactions
- Maintain responsibility for accountancy software
- Prepare year end Statutory Accounts, Reports and Financial Statements
- Prepare Value for Money Statements
- Review cash flow
- To oversee VAT calculation and recovery
- Contribute to the development and review of a 3-year strategic business and budget plan
- To contribute to development and review of the Business Continuity Plan
Requirements
- Proven experience leading a Finance Team
- Any Senior Finance experience within Education advantageous
- Fully qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Solid technical skills in Statutory Accounting, VAT and Audit
- Advanced skills required in Excel - will be tested during interview process
- Live within a 1-hour commute of Swindon
