Secondary - Science Teacher

Reed Education is in search of an inspiring and dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school that serves the coastal town of Filey and its surrounding villages. This full-time position is set to begin in September 2024 and will extend throughout the academic year.

Day-to-Day of the role:

  • Ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students.
  • Collaboration with peers, reflecting on ways to elevate the curriculum and teaching practices, allowing you to continuously develop your skills
  • Positively targeting and supporting individual learning needs.
  • Undertake professional duties as delegated by the Headteacher/Curriculum Leader for Religious Education

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • QTS Teaching qualification (PGCE, SCITT, MEd, Cert. Ed, etc.) or equivalent.
  • An Undergraduate Education degree or a degree in a science subject, such as biology, physics or chemistry
  • Experience delivering the curriculum up to GCSE and A-Level is desirable.
  • A proactive team member committed to raising standards and student achievement.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Right to Work in the UK (Visa Sponsorship not provided).
