Service Care Solutions is seeking a qualified Surveyor for our client in Central London, focusing on providing an effective surveying service within their team of the Housing Services department.
This is a 12 months fixed term job offering £200 a day Umbrella LTD.
The purpose of the job is to ensure an effective surveying service is provided for the Team in Housing Services in a number of key areas in accordance with specifications, procedures and legislation, which include:
- Pre-Inspection & Diagnosis:
Undertaking physical pre-inspections of stock in empty homes and communal locations. Accurately diagnosing complex repairs for void properties to ensure timely and effective completion of works, minimizing financial loss from disrepair claims.
- Disrepair Claims Management:
Collaborating closely with Disrepair Case Managers, conducting inspections, and drafting specifications for new disrepair claims under Section 11.
- Technical Repair Specifications:
Providing detailed specifications for repairs of a complex and technical nature, ensuring professional standards are maintained, particularly concerning structural defects.
- Resident Consultation:
Engaging with residents to ensure effective communication and consultation regarding repair works.
- Contractor Liaison:
Efficiently monitoring and liaising with repair contractors, ensuring work is carried out to the required standards.
- Cost-effective Solutions:
Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions to repair issues, maximizing value for money.
- Quality Control:
Conducting quality checks and post-inspections of completed works orders to ensure compliance and quality standards.
