Role Overview:
Within the Contracts Manager position, you will be joining a thriving and busy build department, and this dynamic role involves both on-site and office-based responsibilities. You will work closely with our supportive back-office team and collaborate with technical staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
Other duties include:
- Surveying and costing required work.
- Identifying and scheduling operatives to complete tasks.
- Managing projects to meet deadlines.
- Handling unexpected costs and variations.
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and perform Health & Safety audits.
- Serving as the main point of contact for clients and operatives.
Requirements:
As the Contracts Manager, you will have experience with Repairs and Maintenance/VOID Contracts, surveying, and quoting based on an agreed schedule of rates. You should understand pricing and timelines for project completion and be able to effectively communicate technical specifications to site operatives.
In addition to the above, the ideal Contracts Manager well have:
- A strong commitment to customer service, professionalism, and high-quality workmanship is essential.
- Essential experience in the construction industry.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of building regulations and construction practices.
- Excellent organizational and prioritising skills.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Approachability and excellent customer service skills.
- Clean driving license.
