Facilities Management Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Management Officer to work within a Law enforcement organisation based near Charring Cross. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation. Start asap (dependent on vetting), pay £13.99ph, duration 6 months with the possibility of an extension, hours Monday-Friday working 36 hours per week, with some weekend and evening work required at times. Weekend work is paid at a rate of time and a half. This position is fully onsite.

Duties:

  • Help Desk: As a Facilities Management Officer, you will be responsible for managing the help desk. This will involve dealing with bookings for travel, couriers, car hire, and stationery orders. You will also be responsible for updating internal spreadsheets and answering incoming telephone calls.
  • Office Support: In this role, you will provide office support by setting up conference and meeting room facilities. You will also be responsible for the movement of post, stationery, and other materials to appropriate people. Additionally, you will assist with the issue of Court Passes, MFD log-in cards, and temporary building passes.
  • Liaison: As a Facilities Management Officer, you will be the main point of contact with the Landlord's building managers. You will ensure that maintenance requests are passed on and followed up to a successful conclusion. In some cases, you may need to escalate matters that require further attention.
  • General Housekeeping: Keeping the premises tidy and organised is an important part of this role. You will be responsible for monitoring service areas and ordering stock as necessary. Additionally, you will assist with removing waste materials and ensuring all floors are clear of clutter.
  • Escorting: As part of your role, you may need to escort non-employee members within the premises. This can include contractors and maintenance personnel, even outside of regular working hours.
