A well-established and growing Top 200 Law Firm looking to hire an experienced Management Accountant reporting directly to the Financial Controller

The Role
Analysing, modelling, interpreting, and communicating financial data to support department heads, managers, and stakeholders in making financial decisions. Delivering accurate and timely financial information to all stakeholders. T
Person Specification
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
- Evidence of a wide range of experience and knowledge to meet the requirements of the role.
- Can evidence they meet the essential technical and behavioural criteria for the role.
- Delivers high quality finance and accounting services on own initiative.
Main Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with the Accounting & Reporting team to deliver accurate and timely information on a monthly basis.
- Liaising with budget holders on monthly reporting to understand variances.
- Ensuring spending is kept in line with the budget.
- Reviewing VAT returns including partial exemption.
- Preparing documentation for external auditors.
- Assisting in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.
- Providing management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation and post-implementation analysis.
- Ongoing review of cash flow and assist in the production of forecasts.
- Managing any capital expenditure.
- Working collaboratively with Assistant Accountants, including day-to-day communication and motivation and performance management.
- Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
- Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls as appropriate.
