Job Title: PMO Planning and Resourcing Analyst Location: Kent with hybrid working (Average 2 days per week in the office)

Contract: Permanent Full Time (35 Hours per week)

Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum (DOE)

The role of PMO Planning and Resourcing Analyst

Our client, who is one of the UK's largest charities, is looking for a PMO Planning and Resourcing Analyst to join their Portfolio Team, to provide effective oversight of the IT change portfolio, maintaining a 12-month portfolio plan. Reporting into the IT Portfolio Delivery Manager, the PMO Planning and Resource Analyst will play an integral part within the IT projects and change function, providing close collaboration with Project Managers, project stakeholders and the wider IT team.

Key Responsibilities

As a PMO Planning and Resource Analyst you will:

  • Oversee the timely processing of schedule updates into the portfolio plan, ensuring accuracy and version control
  • To provide resource management across all projects based on capacity, to forecast against availability, ensuring all in projects in the portfolio have resource allocated
  • Overlay the 6 and 12-month plan with a consolidated budget view and projection, milestones and deadlines for in flight projects and new demand, as well as resource profiles
  • Preparation of dashboards, tracking and analysis of performance information across the full portfolio
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, including identifying and tracking dependencies between projects / streams
  • Develop strong working relationship with project managers, internal stakeholders and delivery partners
  • Contribute to the development of project related processes, methods, tools, templates, and systems to support efficient project delivery

About You

The suitable candidate will have experience of working with large, changing portfolios, and will be a dynamic, self-motivated, and results-driven individual with a passion for planning. Candidates should also have the following demonstrable experience:

  • Excellent project and portfolio planning skills both immediate and future focussed and experience of using project management and planning tools such as MS-Project
  • A background in Portfolio Management, PMO, and Project Management
  • Experience of project governance, methodology and project controls
  • High proficiency in the full MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Power Point
  • Be able to communicate at all levels in simplistic non-technical terms
  • Be comfortable to challenge and validate plans to achieve accuracy
