My client are currently looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join their site on the outskirts of Glasgow.
You will be working with a successful manufacturer that has recently experienced an impressive investment and upturn in sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Always ensure safe working practices
- Provide effective supervision and coaching to Apprentices to ensure talent pipeline
- Manage individual team members performance and delivery against objectives
- Develop and coach team members
- Drive to ensure housekeeping is in good order, and 5S is always adhered to
- Drive effective team communication, and communication with key
- Act as point of escalation to support team members
- Drive process improvement
- Work with Technical Manager to develop future strategy/direction of maintenance and tooling functions
- Take proactive approach to improving maintenance and tooling activity
- Support root cause analysis to provide permanent fixes for repeat issues
- Ensure team members have the correct tools available for every job
Qualifications and Experience:
- Time-served maintenance or tooling engineer
- Supervisory/managerial experience
- Experience working in manufacturing environment
