Are you an IT professional looking for temporary work in the Cheltenham area? Do you have 1st/2nd line support experience?
We are working with a prominent agency that provides a range of IT solutions for their clients and are currently seeking a motivated and skilled 1st/2nd Line Support candidate to join the IT team on a temporary basis.
You will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
THE DAY TO DAY:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, cloud services and
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
- Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or specialised teams when necessary.
- Assist with IT projects and deployments as needed.
WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:
- Proven experience in a 1st Line/Helpdesk Role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with cloud solutions and cyber security.
- Experience with Active Directory and user account management.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic network configurations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.
Hours are Monday - Friday and paying £13 - 15 per hour.
