Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Male Teaching Assistant to work in a small secondary school based in Skelmersdale.
The school are looking for a Male Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 7 boy has been assessed and it is felt that a male would be better suited to the child's needs. The role is to start immediately and is a longterm position. It is a full-time role, 8.45am - 3.20pm, term time only.
The successful Teaching Assistant would be working under the direction of the class teacher, you will support the young person in their academic learning as well as in developing their personal, social and communication skills. The successful candidate will ideally bring with them, experience working with young people.
Role
To support the student to integrate into lessons following a longterm exclusion.
To support the student in his lessons with the aim to settle him into a routine.
To support the student to listen and follow instructions.
To keep the student engaged on task and calm.

- Have experience working with youths.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
