Role: IT Support Engineer
Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 DOE
Location: Washington
My client, a leading manufacturer supplying clients across the UK, is looking to appoint an IT Support Engineer to provide support for one of their sites. You will deliver effective IT support across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to managers on a wide range of IT related projects.
The Role:
Responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day IT operations, duties will include:
- Resolve and escalate IT incidents and change requests
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the network
- Perform regular system maintenance and updates
- Daily checks and maintenance procedures such as ensuring backups have been completed
- Assist with new starters/leavers and support desk moves such as PCs and phones
- Termination of network cables and cable runs as required (training will be provided on this)
- Raise external support calls with key suppliers when required
- Complete IT projects set by management and assist other departments where an IT presence is required
The Person:
- Previous similar experience in an IT Support role
- Demonstratable experience in the engineering/manufacturing industry, ideally with ERP/MES system experience
- Excellent decision making and attention to detail skills
- Positive, proactive and dynamic - look for solutions to problems and ways to improve
- Remain flexible in an ever-changing environment
