As Head of Fleet and Compliance you'll be an ambassador for Unipart Logistic Transport Services actively contributing to the overall Unipart Logistics value proposition.

As part of your key responsibilities you'll:

  • Support the Regional Transport Managers in "O" licence compliance
  • Manage compliance across the Fleet, Service, FORs & Earned Recognition accreditations
  • Lead a schedule of internal and external supplier operational and administrative audits ensuring quality assurance and compliance with the company's Goods Vehicle Operators License and contractual obligations
  • Ensure that company processes and standards are continuously reviewed and evolved in response to changing legislative and technological developments
  • Deliver vigorous cost to serve controls including whole life costs whilst optimising asset availability
  • Provide periodic Fleet and Compliance related KPI and cost reports
  • Actively engage in periodic Customer review meetings and lead upon ongoing fleet and compliance related initiatives and projects
  • Ensure that front line operators (drivers, driver trainers, compliance administration and traffic operators) have the right equipment, tools, training and education to achieve the highest standards every day
  • Lead the continued development of digitisation of compliance in transport operations

About You

  • Proven ability to build credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in UK Road Transport Fleet Management and Compliance, working with fleets in excess of 100+ units
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Transport Manager CPC - National & International
  • Experience of Procuring Heavy Goods Vehicle Fleets and Repair and Maintenance contracts
  • Experienced in the Direction and Management of Fleet Administration teams and Regional Driver Trainers & Development Managers
  • Robust experience in audit protocols including Road Transport, FORS, Earned Recognition, Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing, Financially savvy, Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing – Administration.
